Our founders, Joseph Belmont and Nancy Nova, bring together years of experience and a shared passion for justice, compassion, and community empowerment.

Joseph, a proud Oxnard native, comes from a family with more than 50 years of history in the area. The grandson of campesinos, Joseph has dedicated over a decade to serving farmworker families and advocating for justice in underserved communities. With a strong background in nonprofit legal work, he is driven by a commitment to provide ethical, affordable, and accessible legal services, always with integrity and cultural understanding.

Nancy, born in Guatemala and raised in Fallbrook, California, is a trilingual immigration attorney whose life and work are shaped by her own immigrant journey. A graduate of UC Santa Barbara and a ChangeLawyers fellow, Nancy is dedicated to guiding individuals and families through complex immigration systems with dignity and hope. Her fluency in Canjobal, Spanish, and English allows her to connect with clients on a truly personal level, offering both legal expertise and genuine empathy.
